The Duboce Bikeway Mural, Lead Artist: Mona Caron, Other Artists: Gordon Dean, Bill Stender, Mary Anderson, Mike Rousseau, Seth Damm, Behind Market Street Safeway, Duboce and Church Streets, San Francisco, California
The mural began behind Market Street's Safeway store, and next to the J-Church and N-Judah trolley tracks at the corner of Duboce and Church streets. At this end it depicted a bicycle on Ocean Beach.
The mural was long and extended for nearly an entire city block.
The mural displayed California poppies growing in the sand of Ocean Beach.
A beetle crawled over the sand of Ocean Beach, while a shore bird stood to watch the bicycle pass.
Another beetle crawled toward two succulents growing in the sand.
A snake crawled out of the sand and onto a concrete sidewalk.
A skunk scampered alongside a two lane road.
The road through Golden Gate Park ended at the houses of the Haight neighborhood.
The panhandle is a narrow park which connects to Golden Gate Park in the west.
The mural included a depiction of itself. In reality there is no building at the corner.
Writing shown, only in the mural, credited the artists and sponsors of this mural.
The N-Judah trolley passed bicyclists. The sign on the trolley read, "N-Desire."
Wiggly roads extended from the mural, toward and into downtown.
The wiggly roads became banners flying over the end of Market Street at the Ferry Building. Notice the "Critical Mass" of cars down below on Market Street.
The mural ended with high rise buildings (such as the Transamerica Pyramid and the Bank Of America building) leaning around a back door.
At the east end of the mural was this image of a flying bicycle.
Just west of the flying bicycle floated this image of a bicycle blimp.
A closer shot of the building's corner (only existing inside the mural) which gave credit to the artists and sponsors of this mural.
